Default New XC90 owner looking for a bit of help!

First of all, 'Hi', am new to the forum.

Have just bought an 08 xc90 today having sold my v70 in the UK and moved the states. A have a quick question that I think I already know the answer to be will check anyway just in case.

-My XC90 has had the standard Volvo stereo replaced with a very nice pioneer stereo/sat nav only problem is from memory on my V70 the stereo also had the car settings menu where you set things like whether the mirrors folded on locking, which doors unlocked on first key click etc etc. So, question is how are these things set in the xc90 and if its in the same way does anyone know a way of accessing the menu without having to put a standard Volvo head unit in (which the car didn't come with).

Am guessing the answer will be learn to like the settings you have as they aren't changing but thought it was worth checking.
Thanks in advance.....

No way even with the standard unit. XC90 does not have those settings.
Seems that your V70 was P3 but XC90 is still P2 (platforms). So XC90 has older base.

Have you checked your owners manual?

Owners manual would not cover an aftermarket part and, as doublebug said, it isn't even possible with the original radio.

I didn't ask him to check the owners manual for after market info. He has about 20 questions in there. Come on man, keep it moving.

20? Or 2.

The XC90 does not have customer adjustable settings for those things.

Any programmable parameters must be done with VIDA.

I guess doublebug left that second part out, but most customers don't want to pay to have the programmable settings changed.

Right. Plus some of them need software reload.
