No power to Homelink or visors

I bought a used '07 xc90. I first realized that the visor's lights didn't work. No biggie. But the Homelink wouldn't work - it wouldn't even light up. So I pulled the visor out and found that it was connected to nothing. No connector, no nothing. So I tried to "hot wire" it with the largest red and black wire, and got some light, but nothing since. I've checked the interior fuses. Are there other fuses I need to check? Other solutions?

Thanks
John

check the owners manual for all the places there are fuse boxes on your car then see if you can find a fuse that covers the vanity lights etc to make sure it has power. Sounds like somebody replaced the visor at some point or did some short cut repairs. You may need to remove the window pillar trim to see if there's a wire hiding in there. Sounds like this could also be related to your SRS fault code issue! you may need to dig out a wiring diagram to see where they map back.

Yes, some owner did a job on this Volvo. But I got it at a good price and have been able to find/fix most of the issues. I should have listened when people said to disconnect the battery on ANY electrical work.

Thanks
