Really love my XC90

I had it since new. 2006 XC90 Model

Just recently I hear a strange high pitch noise when I accelerate. This doesn't happen all the time, but scary to hear it sometimes. No display code yet but soon there may be one. Has anyone had this kind of situation with their volvo before? Any clue please? Thanks

 

Hi and welcome to the forum.

You should put problems in the vehicle section. Also, noises are hard to track down and there are different kind of noises. Hisses, squeels, grindings, etc. You need to determine what kind of noise and likely need to record the sound and post it.

You likely have a bad idler roller.
