Added a 2016 XC90 T6 Momentum to the family with 63,000 miles.

Reading up on the oil; it seems Volvo recommends a synthetic 5w-30 ( Georgia here ) that complies with A5/B5 spec. Looks like the dealer used Castrol Edge Professional, but that is hard to find locally.

What oil do you guys recommend that I can buy locally that meets the specs. Plan on 7500 mile oil change intervals with Volvo filter.

My VW CC also "recommends" Castrol Edge full synthetic (5-40 for the dub) which I've seen at Walmart, Advanced Autoparts and Autozone so I don't think you'd have that hard a time finding it. The key is to find an oil that complies with the factory recommended spec, not a brand name per se. For some reading materials, check out bobistheoilguy.com and search for posts on oil brands and their specs. Another choice is to use that Amazon Prime membership (or any other online store) and simply have the product shipped to you. My two cents is all the big brand synthetics will meet the ACEA A5/B5 spec such as Mobil 1 Extended Performance, Castrol Edge (serveral, not just "professional"), Penzoil Ultra are all available in 5W30. Google around for more.
