extra key for 2010 xc90
i am wondering if there is a place out there that sells keys cut, and a programed fob that is less then 450+ tax . that is what my local Volvo dealer quoted me
plenty of other posts discussing replacement keys. In short, the new key needs to be programmed by a shop with a full VIDA DICE set up (aka "the dealer"). Newer model car's fobs are very specific to the car make/model so its not really about shaving metal, its about the specific chip/coding inside so you'll need a dealer or a dealer web store to supply the fob. If you want to see about savings, try shopping a dealer web store like Tasca Parts to see what they price the fob at, then go to your local dealer for the programming (or ask them to match Tasca's price). Sorry to say there's not a lot of options here due to the proprietary tech.
