My wife really wants an XC 90 as her next car. I am skeptical because I have had such good luck with 850's and 70's and the XC 90's get an awful rep.
Right now I am in between 3 different rigs and besides the obvious questions for the dealer "what services have been done etc... " Which one should I go get?

I like the ocean race edition. I guess it comes down to how much you want to spend. As long as the routine maintainance has been performed, I wouldn't hesitate on any of the three.

 

Every vehicle has a bad reputation if you read and believe the stuff on all of the boards. Today's vehicles are more complex than ever and there are more systems to maintain.

You may wish to purchase a 1978 Plymouth Volare, 1977 Chevrolet Nova or older Ford Taurus since you appear to be comfortable with less complex vehicles. An early Dodge Neon might also be of interest.
