Default Parking Brake Temporarily Unavailable After Brake Change

Dealer wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to change the brakes so I had a friend do it at his shop. I have a 2018 XC90 Momentum and had the front and rear break pads changed. Brakes engage just fine no problem there. The electronic parking brakes engage and disengage via the button or disengage upon stepping on the accelerator. But now I have a parking brake temporarily unavailable and auto hold warning appear on my car status section. During the installation the auto brake was disengaged via the setting screen on the car and I know he did not disconnect any of the electronics from the rear brakes when he did the pad replacements. Any idea on how I clear up these errors or will I have to take it to the dealer and have them laugh? Thank you

Everyone wants to save money by taking their car somewhere cheaper. You get what you pay for sometimes.

Default How to remove Parking Brake Temporarily not Available message

All you need to do is connect an OBD2 diagnostic tool compatible with Volvo and have this error message erased. I used an iCarsoft VOL3.0 scanner. Goodluck!

I’m getting the same warnings after changing my rear brakes on my 2018 XC90. Could you please let me know how to reset the worming using the iCarsoft Vol V3.0

I bought the device, but can figure out where to reset this warning.

thanks

the scanner is to reset the electronic parking brake (aka EPB in the user's manual).
