Default Quick question - please help!

Hi,
My name is Trudi, and I just now joined this forum. I figure it looks pretty popular and current, so I am hoping someone out there can quickly answer this rather simple question for me. I have a 2006 XC90, Ocean Race Edition. My question is this: WHAT (if any?) electrical features could anyone possibly "leave on", that would gradually cause the battery to die?
REALLY curious!! Please help.

I am guessing something killed the battery?

Is there any lights on when you close and lock the car?

Yes, something killed the battery. Actually, more than once. The only lights on when i turn the car off are the interior ones that come on/off automatically when the car is first parked and the engine is turned off. The lights stay on for 30 seconds or so - not long. This feature seems to work just fine. Any other possibilities?

Is anything plugged into rear 12V socket? It's always ON even w/ ignition Off.

Also, there was recall for starter wires - they are too close to each other, and w/ some water between them may get a short? I am not sure if that could kill the battery

No, nothing's been plugged in. Headlights come on/off automatically - never touch the setting for them.

Car is currently in dealership.

There is a known problem (bulletin) regarding the battery cables in the back. We had the same problem. Dealer replaced cable connetctores/insultaion pads to the batery. Seems to have fixed our problem. Check with your dealer.

You say you had the same problem... can you tell me where your car wouldn't start? I mean, just in one location, or was it in random places? I hope that service bulletin repair actually fixed your issue, but unfortunetly it is not applying to my nightmare. [:@]
Thanks for trying though! I do appreciate whatever suggestions I can get. And to the suggestion to take it to the dealer to be fixed, all I can say is HA! Very funny, although it shouldn't be. So far, dealer has had not a clue - nor has Volvo Corporate (NJ).

I've figured out the details of my "Volvo reliability" experience since my purchase late in March, 2006....

Total 7800 miles (ignoring mileage when I took deliveries, repair mileage, etc.).
I go an average of 1,560 miles between dead battery no-starts.
To date, I have 18 days loss-of-use due to my no-starts.

ONE lemon?? No, looks like it's actually TWO!
Think things have become a tad bit RIDICULOUS for me?! [:'(]
