Default Remote fob battery

Hi - my sister owns an XC90 so I'm doing some digging. she does NOT have an owner's manual with her XC which she bought used, I told her to try looking there first. She just needs to know how to get at the battery as it apparently isn't obvious when looking at it. I'm sure you can replace the battery with something at radio shack as I've done w/ my ES300 and E320, but are there instructions anywhere here on how to do that or can someone share the instructions in the manual? I did a search on "key fob battery" and came up empty in terms of precisely how to take apart the remote to get at the battery.

Thanks!
Frank

Ouch - 12 views and no replies? Have any XC90 owners replaced the battery themselves? Again, no owner's manual and it's not even my car...

Default Remote FOB battery

The back of the FOB opens up. But if this problem still exists after a year then I admire your patience.

The back of my key fob has a round small "door" if you will. I turn mine counter clockwise and it opens up exposing the batter. By chance can you take a picture of the keyfob. I am sure we can helop but some of us aren't too familiar with that particular. Also sometimes there might be a small "tab" on the side of it where you can take a flat head screwdriver and open it up!

in the back of remote there is a little notch where you can place a small screwdriver or knife end and pry out the door.
