I have a Volvo XC90 2009 from Saudi Arabia exported to Netherlands.
Does anybody know how to remove the speed warning that sounds at 120kph. I have asked the Volvo dealership here, but nobody had ever seen this before and didn't know how to remove it.
Is it possible? Please help it is very annoying on autoban in Germany!!

 

That brings back a lot of memories! I know what you are talking about, but I have never disabled one. If it's a function of the instrument cluster, you could consider replacing that with a domestic version. If the beeper is a separate component then you would certainly do well to remove that.


P.S. It is very annoying in Saudi Arabia too. Nobody drives that slow.

 

i would guess this is a software function that can be changed at the dealer. i doubt it requires any hardware change.

 

I'm in the UAE and have exactly this issue. It comes on at 120kph but if I accelerate to 130kph or more, the warning stops and will only come back after I drop below 120kph again. It's really annoying
