I have a 2006 XC90 2.5t that began running really rough today with a significant loss of power. A quick check of the codes shows p0101, p0303, p0170.

• MAF Sensor
• Cylinder 3 Misfire
• Fuel Trim

Anyone see a possible correlation?

BTW, we're 4 hours away from home and 1 hour away from the nearest Volvo dealer, staying with family after a funeral. Please advise.

correlation between running poorly and maf problem? yes.

 

Try cleaning the MAF with MAF cleaner. Having a specific misfire is a little scary, could be a bad coil or burnt valve.

 

I have the exact same problem, except my local volvo dealer is shut tomorrow plus the volvo dealer is over an hours drive away. Did cleaning the MAF work? I've never been to my local volvo dealer, do you think this volvo dealer | used volvo | new volvo - Waterhousecars.co.uk looks ok?
