Default Second and Third Row Map Lights not working

2016 xc90 with an interior light problem. Cannot figure this out. The map lights in the front part of the cabin and all other courtesy lights work fine. The map lights over the second and third row do not come on. No matter what I try. The lights on the tailback and rear work as well. Any ideas?

Some additional information:
I had not realized that the sunvisor lights also were not working. I tracked down the fuse responsible for these lights - #28 in the passenger compartment. However, the fuse will blow immediately upon replacement.

Hi Jorosal, did you ever find the cause of this issue? Same this is happening for my 2016 XC90

Any help would be appreciated, I've tried like 5 fuses and they all blow instantly on replacement.

Same here. 100K mi, and like all good Volvos, this one has been passed along to my college student, so there is not much urgency nor a great deal of budget to apply toward this problem. But it would be nice to get it fixed.

Anyone ever figure this out? Having same issue on my 2018 XC90. Keeps blowing fuse 28, so there seems to be a short somewhere and not sure how to find the issue

you'll need to check a wiring diagram to see what's on that circuit then check junctions to see where the power is shorted to ground. You can also try pulling out all the bulbs etc to see if the fuse stays intact.
