Default Sheared oil pan bolts

06 2.5t fwd. Hello, I was looking to see if anyone else had problems with the long bolts being shredded off. I just bought the car. It was sitting for 2 years. They stopped driving because of major oil and coolant leaks. So I get it for cheap. I get it running no problem. As a precaution I change the pvc box and drop the pan. Get it all back together, and there is metal on metal sound, turn it off. It also throws a throttle body code, but I’m more worried of the metal sound. Start it back up and the sound goes a way. Let it warm up then turn it off. Check for leaks, sure enough, big oil and coolant leak. What surprised me was to see one of the long oil pan bolts laying on the ground. The thread are grinded off!! How..... I am lost. Anyone else have that happen?

The only way that happens is if it isn't installed correctly. Instead of threading it into the hole in the block, it went in crooked and was hitting the flexplate.
