Arrow Smoke comes out of engine Cap and Dipstick. HELP!!

I have a 2004 Volvo XC90 2.5 T5. When the car is on, and i open the engine cap or the dipstick, a bit of smoke constantly comes out. when i press the gas, more smoke comes out.. It is not too much smoke (Just a little) but it worries me. Can someone please tell me what it might be? HELP PLEASE!!

Sounds like a clogged PCV system. You need to get that replaced.

How many miles are on your XC90? The PCV service is recommended at 105K.

Not yet (80K miles)...but it's a pretty common issue with these motors...especially if you use conventional oil instead of synthetic. There are a couple of threads on testing this using a rubber glove on the dipstick. Check over at Swedespeed.com. The users there are very knowledgeable.
