sold the xc90
in 2010 we bought a like new 2008 xc90 3.2 with 17k miles on it, on saturday we traded it in with 160k miles, stlll running and driving great but with lot of wear and tear especially inside. I think we paid $31k for it and got $2k in trade. it was a great car, the only thing it ever needed other than routine maintenance (which i did myself) was the AC control valve went out 3x, the radiator fan control failed, front control arms wore out, the cd changer broke (which we really never used anyway since we had sat radio) and a few small things like emissions sensors and the clockspring had to be replaced. Probably the most reliable of the 11-12 cars i've owned considering the miles we put on it. to replace it we got a 2019 xc60 T6 since we no longer need the third row, but given how complicated the newer cars are I doubt it will be as reliable. i will miss the xc90.
PS if anyone needs AC control valve i have one new in box, never got around to replacing it, $100 shipped and will throw in a new mann oil filter.
