vehicle, 03 XC90 T6. The wife tells me she is hearing a strange buzzing sound when she turns the vehicle off. I go to check and she's right. The buzzing sound alternates between high and low pitch, louder then softer, the sound is coming from under the hood and only does it when the vehicle is off. The vehicle is under warranty only 55k miles but I thought I might save myself a trip to the stealership by checking here first. Any guidence from you guys would be much appreciated.

 

How long does it last for?

 

Sorry I should have stated the noise lasts about five minuets after turning the car off.

 

Maybe a bad cooling fan.

Sometimes the electronics will take a few seconds/minute to turn off but 5 minutes is way to long.
