Switch Panel below climate controls access?

Default Switch Panel below climate controls access?
I have space between the option buttons below the climate controls just like this one...


I want to drill a hole for this usb charger...




From pictures it didn't look like easy access to the back of these switches? Is it possible?

This is what it looks it like with that panel off - not sure you should take a hole saw to that.
