Tranmission fluid change

RE: Tranmission fluid change
I would do transmission fluid flash using radiator / cooler inlet or outlet house. Just check if your transmission has a dipstick, where you can add fresh fluid (newer XC90 do not have access to the dipstick).
T6 has 4-speed GM tranny, and should use Dexron III fluid, I'd flash with synthetic Dexron III (Mobil or Castrol).
Ckeck your manual for the specs on the tranny fluid!!!

RE: Tranmission fluid change
Some people seem to use self-flush kit:

As m1964 says, make sure to check which fluid your XC90 uses. If wrong type of fluid is introduced, the tranny may die immediately after you start driving, as the GM-built transmission on XC90 has very poor reputation.
Also, when you flush the system, make darn sure that nothing gets in the system, not even the tiniest piece of FOD.
Good luck,
