Hi Guys,
I have just bought used XC90 T5 2006 with 16k miles on it.
Recently i notice someting is not right :
1. On Board computer display is off, how to activate this? Is this problem related to (No3)
2. 2nd row and 3rd row left (only) AC blower is not working while right side both 2nd row and 3rd row is working just fine, what is wrong and how to check?
3. The car is installed JVC head unit (DVD AV system) and its working fine but the steering module dont work as well as the passenger remote, is there any way to connect the system into factory steering module and remote?
4. Passenger airbag off sign is on (on the rear view mirror) while this car dont have switch on the right end dashboard (PACOS)? hwat went wrong and how to check?
5. The interior seems noisy when entring bad road, is this normal?
I really appreciate your kind help to my problems.
Many thanks

I am not privy to the XC90s but I will try.
1. I do not believe the problem is related to the JVC head. Either the LCD is not receiving power or a connection has been dislodged. Check the fuse(s).
2. Check the fuse(s).
3. You would need the exact-matching connector for the JVC unit/interface.
4. I would read the owner’s manual.
5. If you frequently drive on bad roads, yes it is normal. If however, you drive on paved roads then you may want to install additional sound-proof materials (asphalt sheet, carpeted sheet or anything that absorbs noise).
I hope this gets you started. Also, try posting your questions in General Volvo Chat as the XC90 forum seems slow.

Dear JPM,
Many thanks for your comment on my problems.
I am live in a country where Volvo service is not available so I am not be able to claim for warranty.
Bellow are further assistant needed:
1. How to check the dsplay connector/fuses, I have opened the fuses box on driver side (LHD) but after read the user manual i am not be able to identify which fuse need to be check?
2. Which fuse need to be check?
3. I have read user manual over and over again, I suspect there is a sensor on the seat but i have not able to identified the connector/cable since i have replace the leather seat cover recently and i suspect the connection is failed.
4. The noisy interior is from the interior (vibrations) not from outside so i suppose i need to reasamble again the connect the interior parts with putting some soft tape on each connection.
I really appreciated your kind help on the issues.
Many thanks,
Deemaz

Hello deemaz,
As to your further questions:
1. Fuse that has to do with the LCD. I am not sure how it is named in the XC90. If you can take a digital pic of the fuse panel and post it here, that would help.
2. Same as above. I would believe it would be called something like [Rear Blower]. Or, the A/C may have a setting to activate/deactivate the rear blower.
3. There may be a switch that manually lets you activate/deactivate the SRS. I would keep looking around the seat to locate such switch, but usually something like that is described in the owners manual.
4. Something is loose.
Without the car in front of me, this is the best I can do. Also, try posting a thread in General Volvo Chat as the XC90 forum seems slow.
