Default Vacuum?

Hi

I have an 2004 xc90 2WD with a or more problems.
I just both the car and I almost got it for free so I tought I give it a chance to get in order.

The MAF sensor where disconnected and where runing great that way, but check engine light where on so I both a new MAF sensor and got it changed. Start the car up and it runs great and check engine light are gone, had it ideling for 5 - 10 min, jump in to pull it out and get it parked, put in reverse it stall and try it again but stall.
Unplugging the MAF sensor and she runs but check engine light comes back on.

What should I look at or what do i need to change?
Do I need new part, clean it or something would be great to hear about.

Thanks so much, Andy

Default

There is a lot of plumbing between the maf and the throttle. I would look for a leak between those two points. The rubber parts deteriorate over time, but of course there are a lot of them to check.

Default I mite gound the problem

Im a smoker and saw on YouTube you can blow smoke in to the lines and I did.
There came a lot of smoke out under the manifolds (I think that's what you call it), in front of the engine its a aluminum 5 pipes going to the top of the engine.
Anyway, I found a plastic pip maybe 2.5 to 3 inch in diameter that come from the front of the cars driver side going in under the manifolder and turns and get connected to the manifolder under part. That plastic pipe have been rubbing to like the starter or something there that made a big hole.

Now I will try figure out that that pipe are called so I can get me a new one.

Thanks
