VCM UNIT- Can you install a used Vcm unit in Xc90

Hi,

Our XC90’s Vcm unit is not working. A new unit costs around 1700Euros while a used one can be installed for about 600Euros.

Has anyone had experience installing a used Vcm unit and how did it work?

It is a control unit. Here is a picture attached

Second hand VCM will work, but you wont be able to use any VOC or OTA services. Prior you have to bench clone units.

do you have experience with making clone of the data from the exiting one to the other one (from used car). is this possible and is it all OK after the process?
