Default What happened?

I removed an xm radio mount from my dash yesterday, and now I have a problem. I used a hair blower to heat the adhesive on the back of the mount. Then I used rubbing alcohol to remove the residue adhesive, followed by simple green to remove the white residue left by the alcohol. Then I used Armorall to refinish and protect that area. Now, I have a dull light grey patch which feels somewhat glossy where I removed the adhesive which contrasts with the dull grey color of the dash. I used this process to remove another mount on another location on the dash and had no problem.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks.

Overheated the area?

Maybe, you should try plain water w/ soap and wash the whole thing?
