Whining noise
Hi, just had the mass air flow indicator changed after a lack of power. Literally one hour after picking up car from the garage, a very loud whining noise is coming from what seems like the fan and the lack of power is back. Engine system light on on dashboard. Any help much appreciated.

first thing to do is stop by an Autozone etc and borrow an OBD2 scanner to see what fault code is setting the Check Engine Light. Considering somebody replaced the MAF, I'd suspect there's an intake air leak due to a loose air intake tube. Is your engine a turbo or NA?
Thanks for the quick reply. It’s a a turbo. When we first had loss of power issue the following codes came up…
1507- turbo control too low pressure
135F- mass air flow sensor faculty signal
18B0- swirl actuator control- offset fault
666f- glow really control faulty signal
The garage stated with mass air flow to see if it fixed the other issues. They haven’t done the rest.
we are so worried this is going to end up being a massive money pit 🥲
