Default Window: auto up feature reopens window!

Recently the driver window of my 06 xc90 doesn't stay up (closed) when using the one touch auto up feature.
When i click the auto up switch, the window goes up to the top, then reopens (window down) to the previous position that the window was at (eg half way down).
I searched, and tried to 'reset' the brain/actuator by holding the switch in the down and/or up position for 10 seconds, but no help.

Any other suggestions, or is the brain/actuator broken?

MIK911,

I had the same problem, there is nothing wrong with the window, the dealer just reset the window for me. M1964 is right on the money.

They didnt even charge me.... but I guess thats up to the dealer.. goodluck

thanks for the info.
odd that the 'auto up' feature must be 'adjusted'. never had this happen on any other car before.

Last time it happened to our XC90 I asked service "advisor" why the window suddenly needs adjusment , and he replied with very irritated voice: " I worked at many other dealerships, it happens to all cars, not just Volvo!". on my way out I thought "never happen to Honda Pilot..."

SPOT ON, the easiest fix i've ever done, took less than 10 seconds, opened the side dash fuse box look for thye right fuse for my door (36 i think for drivers side) sent my window down, when it was in motion i took the fuse out, put the fuse back in then sent the window to the top, held the button in the up postion for 5 seconds and that was it, less than 10 seconds to fix :-) HAPPY DAYS.

This worked perfectly on my 2002 S60 T5.
It was fuse 27 on my car.

The body shop replaced the window and it started acting strange. They said take it to the dealer. The dealer wanted $50.
It took me longer to find the correct fuse than it did to run the procedure.

Just did this....

1. Engage the auto-down function and remove fuse during window movement.

2. Install fuse back into position.

3. Engage the auto-up function and hold it engaged for 5 seconds after the window has reached the fully closed position.

4. Verify window is now working properly.

Worked so far...
