I have a really bad shaking noise coming from what i think is front passenger side although it may be closer to the middle. you cannot feel it in the steering wheel, but you can feel it some in the shifter. is is a 6 cyl AWD. I found that the top rear motor mount was destroyed and i was sure this was the cause, but i was wrong. the strut seems fine, but i am wondering if that could be the culprit. My next guess is the driveshaft for the rear wheels? it is not an engine noise, it is related to movement of the vehicle. it comes and goes, like every couple of minutes. i have been under the car and shaken the drive shaft and it seems pretty tight. any help would be appreciated.

 

I have same problem on 2003 XC90 5 cyl AWD. Mechanic says its left front driveshaft, but it seems there are different sizes, and I can't figure out which one I need...
Any help would be super appreciated. Not a petrol head. 🤔
