XC90 listed as CPO but additional cost to activate
Hi,
I am looking to buy a XC90 2016 and have zoomed in on this one in TX:
https://www.grubbsvolvocars.com/cert...5cb6c3f737.htm
https://www.carfax.com/VehicleHistor...A22PL4G1052663.
According to the website of the dealer (see above) the car is certified pre-owned and priced at $38,500. However, when I called them they informed me that CPO comes at an extra cost of roughly ~$3,500 (expensive!?). Now, I don't care much about CPO at this point, because the car is already almost 4 years old, and the extended warranty w/ 1 year is not that much as I view it. But still, I feel like I am getting played. At the same time, the car seem to be priced under market, which makes it a good deal.
I spoke to Volvo centrally, and they said this behavior is quite common but wanted to ask you all about it. Any suggestions or tips or advice or thoughts are much appreciated.
Thanks,
Nils
