Dear friends, am just new in this forum.
I have a XC90 t6 AWD 160Miles, I bought it as used one.
1, The speed/transmission once reached to 40 speed or third gear, its don't want to shift to 4th gear, then the error message comes 'transmission service urgent', then I switched off the vehicle and restart... its ok if am driving through a straight road, transmission shifts gear without any issue, if am driving through a slow moving traffic, then the same problem repeats.its only in 3rd gear...

2, another issue, the electrical power shut down sometimes, all panel boards, lights, and 5th gear automatically down to 4th, so many error messages, some posts are showing that, its the problem of CEM,

My first problem also because of the CEM complaint?
What should I do? Please help somebody.

There is really nothing you can do on the internet. You need the codes. Probably not going to be worth fixing.

 

the transmission is going to need to be replaced/rebuilt. triple edge performance is one of the better shops around that works on our transmissions, i got the vast majority of parts for my transmission rebuild through them.

any other codes you can pull will be helpful in diagnosing, hope this reply isn't too late

 

Volvo have problem with the software there is some glitch in it and Volvo dealers know it but they are greedy and dishonest they start wit replacing the fluid and then the transmission to make many on you guys . Only what you need is updating the software for both engine and transmission which is only 50$. I been there twice first they told me what if the engine will stop after update who will pay to fix it they told me no dealer in usa going to do it. I found someone els to do it for 300$ it helped...
