My 2009 XC90 won't start. The first time I tried to crank it, it said "engine system servie required". The second time is said " Start Inhibitor, see Manual". I read the manual and it said this had to do with the codes in my key. I gave it about 10 minutes and it now says "Brake System Failure".




What is wrong with my car? I am low on gas, could this be causing the issues? I am also parked on a down slope. Could that impact the gas being able to start my car?

 

measure battery voltage with a multimeter. should be 12.6. low voltage can cause many gremlins. try other key. low fuel shouldn't cause those issues.

 

my xc 90 t6 won't start at morning (COLD) . I think electric leakage cause dead battery but how can determin position of electric leakage -- mid light cieling on and off without knon reason ==thanks

your battery may be about to die. you can have it load tested at a parts store (free if you pull the battery) or shop. if you're saying your interior lights are staying on while car is shut off, yes that can drain the battery. they are controlled by switches built into the door locks.

 

Thank you very.much mr schumicat for attention but no light no any thing on after car shut off and When i separeted negative wire of battery and reconected at morning car started without any problem ....thanks
