Try Plastidip in the spray can form, I used it on my 240 grill and my buddy's '07 GTI and both are still in great shape.

When my son had his 850 we pulled it out, taped off the logo and the slash, scuffed it with 800 grit and painted it with Krylon Fusion. It worked great.

Before I got my current rig I plasti dipped the wheels and chrome trim on my Sierra truck. Turned out great. The wheels were still like the day I sprayed them 4 months later. The lug nuts had it coming off but not too bad even after the impact gun. I used flat black. The reviews say the gloss stays tacky for a long time and can collect dirt.

I agree that plastidip is much easier to do and looks good. But for a more permanent paint, I would recommend Krylon Fusion.

Plastidip would be a good way to do it. Not that expensive and can be remove easily.
