Volvo 850 Engine Interchange: Auto motor in a 5-Speed car?
850 Engine Swap: Can I easily convert an auto. trans 850 engine for use in a 5 speed 850 GLT car? Both are 1993 2.3 20-V models, non-turbo. Do I have to do anything other than change the flywheel? Are motor mounts or wiring different? Has anybody done this? Also, does it matter if one car is 4-lug and other has 5-lug wheels? Thanks!

RE: Volvo 850 Engine Interchange: Auto motor in a 5-Speed car?
I don't know about volvo but this isn't universal to all cars / Sometimes
with fuel injected and even carberated you will need to keep the manual version intake and fuel related components. They might look the same sometimes but the sensors are different and could give you sluggish response
but you should have zero problems as long as the original sensors are used
This applys to most cars as well.

Cars this won't work on are example ford taraus SHO with 3.0 manual but 3.2 liter automatic engine so big up yourself for doing your research and don't believe everything you hear espeacially if its coming from a parts person (Autozone)
