The 2017 XC90 Momentum is a pretty new vehicle, so I'm doubting anyone has run across this yet...But it's worth a shot! When equipped with the convenience package, the XC90 comes with a 12V outlet in the cargo area. I do not have that package, but I'd like to install one there. I believe I have located the part. What I don't know yet, is how to get a hold of the wire harness to power the outlet, nor do I know if it is already just living back there waiting to accept the outlet. Has anyone opened up their trim panel back there or happened to know where that outlet draws power from?

I'll be asking with the dealer to see if they can help me locate the wire harness. Not sure what the next steps will be to get the project moving along further. Any other input on the project would be greatly appreciated!

I've had almost the entire interior out a few times but I don't recall whether the wiring is there or not on cars not equipped originally. I'll take a look if I have one apart again.

 

I haven't opened it up at all yet, but I'll be installing the hitch and harness as soon as it warms up. Hopefully I'll know more. Maybe I'll see something coming off of the fuse box in the back there.

We'll see soon enough.
