while driving my battery light comes on and electrical system shuts down.Altanator puts out about 14 volts when running. Any help would be great.

 

have your alternator tested at a shop. they should have a machine that can put a load on it to see if it is truly running within spec. also have your battery tested.
Do you currently have the original alternator in there?

I remember putting an aftermarket alt in a civic once and the battery light came on immediately after. Even tho it was never on before. Turns out the new alt was bad even with it putting out 14.4v.

 

had alt. and battery checked today,bad battery thanks
