"TRANSMISSION SEAL job" (Passenger side)
Hey, speaking of changing put the CV joints and axles, what is the operation like when it comes to changing out the transmission seal? I will be there and wonder if it is a difficult task, Any comments? , information?, Advice?

Once the axle is out it is an easy deal, it will add at most another 30 minutes to the job. Get good seals, OEM if you can find them.

Thanks for the message. BTW, it took me a whole of about 10 inutes to change the seal out and voila, no leaks. the entire operation was pretty simple EXCEPT one thing I wasn't ready for: The guy who had had done the job before me apparently used Loctite on the axle splines ?? maybe he didn't know the difference between Loctite and anti-seize lube. I had to dig out all the loctite from the splines (and then apply anti-seize lube) before the hub would go back onto the axle. I noticed this in the first place because my hub would not go back on without MUCH force. I though I might have cross threaded the splines but after trying twice with similiar resistance, I probed inside and found the hardened goo. OH well, all is great but that was something to look out for to all who might find resistance when reinstalling.
