Default 99 V70 - 2 dead cylinders

Accidentally bought a 99 V70 with the 2.4 and 197,000 miles - partner bid on the wrong car. It has two cylinders not firing (2&3). I changed around coil packs and plugs, but the problem is definitely in these two cylinders. I puled the plugs and coils and fired up the car, and they both have spark. I have a ton of codes pulled from the scanner: 3503, 3523, 3533, 3502, 3522, 3532. The engine does not sound bad (no knocking or death rattle). I assume the problem is in the fuel delivery system, but why would 2 injectors go bad at the same time? Any other ideas or place to look? Car is in nice shape for the miles, and I hate to scrap without knowing for the problem for sure.
Thanks for any help or advice.

Before going any further, remove all of the spark plugs and unplug all of the coils. Do a quick compression test. You may have some bent valves if the timing belt was done wrong or has jumped time.

I seriously doubt that injectors are bad. I've never changed an injector in a Volvo, so check for compression.

Tony
I took your advice and the result was not good - 3 cylinders had about 70 psi, but the two dead cylinders had ZERO. I guess it is $9 per 100 pounds for this good looking wagon!

I wouldn't toss it away. Pull the cylinder head. You can buy valves for these engines pretty cheap. I bet the valves are bent.

Have a local machine shop tighten up the head. It is worth more running.
