Hello everyone I'm new to the forum and well I am trying to get to know my car better. I drive a 98 V70 XC Turbo. My first biggest concern is my ABS will come on and off as it wants to and sometimes when I am driving the ABS decides to kick in and it makes it hard for me to press on my breaks. Is there any advice on what I can look at and do to help solve this issue? Also I want to make my car faster and try to get a little better gas mileage. Right now I am at 18.7 mpg but every other day it seems to go down .1 or .2 and are these things I can do myself or do I have to take to a shop.

The ABS is not hard or expensive to correct.

As for making the car faster and more efficient, that is almost an oxymoron. There are companies that can "flash" the ECU (cars fuel management computer) that is suppose to do this. I am testing one of those now but I'm having issues with my vacuum/boost system that i have to correct before getting proper test results.
