Default DOME light with doors doesnt shut off??

When I set my dome to the doors opening setting, it just stays on, forever. I have grown accustomed to leaving the switch to the off position, but I would like it to work. At one point and time I did have it working, for a brief moment, I just made sure all the doors were slammed hard shut, seemed to fit it, but now its a no go.

the rear taligate light works just fine and the door lights work too, just the dome light dont and I cant seem to find the pin or actuator buttons in the door jams to mess with them, how does this system work on this particular make and model?

THANKS!

Mine is doing the same thing. If it is one of the front doors, the floor light will stay on on the side that is stuck in the open position. My car it is the pass side front door. I have found that if I jiggle the inside handle all the way open then closed fast and shut the door the lights go out. It seems worse in the cold weather. When you turn the light swich off look for the floor lights in the front to see which side stays on. If neither than it is a back door. I understand the latch needs to be replaced to fix this and they are $175

yeah, its gotta be one of my back doors. I'll see if I can get it handled. So the actuator is in the door handel itself?

It's the latch assembly. Not sure if spraying some kind of contact cleaner in there will fix it but that may remove the lubricant as well.
