I have a 1995 volvo 850 and i recently replaced the engine and now that i got the car running, when ever i turn the key on the horn starts going off and doesnt shut off with the car running unless i either disconnect it or i take the fuse out, can someone help me?

 

Most likely the cause is the plastic parts falling apart in the steering wheel.

that or make sure that the horn isnt shorting out to the frame at all.

 

Follow above two suggestions. I just looked at the schematic and there is no relay for the horn.

You can unplug them in the meantime. There is a wire spring retainer that you need to depress and then they come unplugged easily.

Jeff Caplan at www.odometergears.com sells a kit to repair the horn switch in the steering wheel.
