So I recently bought this 1998 Volvo V70 GLT. It has no visors but I see wires hanging down? I’m guessing these are tied into the interior lights like the dome light, door open light and such?

with that being said none of the lights inside work, and I have a dash light saying hatch is open but I’ve slammed it shut and it won’t go off, and the open door chime is killing me..

Does anyone know how to fix these issues?

 

Those wires are hot all the time, battery power, to lighted vanity mirrors. It's possible that the visors being gone caused you to blow a fuse that also powers the dome light, but I didn't look.

I have not really looked at the dome light system at all, but I'd be motivated with the door chime. That would drive you crazy.
