Default Inside heater issue

Hi,

I`ve just purchased a Volvo V70 `98 with some miner issues I would like to get sorted, and I hope someone would help me out here

This is my first Volvo, so I`m not familiar with the car, so It might come some newbie question on here..

First ting is the inside heater that is not working as it supposed to, the fan spins and I hear blowing sound, but no air comes out of the vents, regardless of witch direction I turn the direction ****. I also notice that the fan wont start when I turn it on the "auto" mode.

Also when I turn the blowing direction **** to the front window (90 degrees), the ac light comes on and I am unable to turn the ac off,The ac compressor (I assume that is the thing that is munted in bottom in front on the engine with serpentine belt) starts for a few seconds, then stops with a click for approx 2 seconds and it wil cycle like this til I turn the blowing direction **** one notch or more from 90 degrees. When ac is on I cannot chose if the air should circulate in the car or it should take air from outside, I can choose this with the AC off..

I have read somewere that it can be a faulty evaporator temp sensor that can cause these symtomps? do I have this sensor?

It seems to me that I`m unable to direct witch way the damper shall direct the air flow. I think it is in closed position.. Do someone know if theres a fix for this, or how the damper is controlled (without of course from the ****..)
