Hi

Got a warning light on the dash, saying that the driver door is not shut, having checked the door is shut bu tthe warning is not going off.
Also when using the remote key, its not opening all the doors, it will open the passenger side doors but not the driver side.
When then trying to lock the doors the remote isn't locking any doors.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Mine did this and I ended up needing to clean all of the actuators to remedy it.

 

Also, your doors aren't locking because it thinks a door is open. Volvo doors will not lock if a door is open. P2 will lock after the door is closed. P3 and later will need to have the doors closed and then the lock button pressed again (I dislike this a lot)

 

There are microswitches in the inner door latch assembly that are supposed to close when the door latch is closed - could be a problem with one of those. The solution is a new inner door latch assembly - unless you have broken wiring - that would commonly be where the wires bend at the driver door hinge area.
