Default rear differential leak

Good evening all.

I have a '00vr with about 164k miles. I recently noticed a couple of spots on garage floor at the rear of my vehicle. I put my car on a lift to find rear differential wet. Currently im running fwd as i have a failed prop shaft. Any procedures on how to reseal rear diff.?

Thank you.

is it leaking from the drive shaft seal? I've had weepy seals on an old Audi and just pulled off the Axle (or prop shaft), pulled out the old seal and pressed in the new one. Just check to see if a special tool is required to set the seal to a specific depth or if it goes flush to the housing.
