V70 leaking oil
I have a 1999 Volvo V70 that is leaking oil and I can not figure it out. It is the inline 5 turbo with 192xxx miles. The car runs good but blows about 2 quarts of oil out of it in 50 miles. There is oil in the valve cover valley and also down at the cam position sensor (what looks like a distributor). It is draining back towards the turbo but from underneath its not the turbo drain and its dry around the bearing housing. It is on the compressor housing though.
I honestly think its coming from the PCV which is making it blow out the hole in the valve cover valley.
Does anyone have any ideas? I tried putting a balloon on the dipstick tube and it did blow it up a lil bit but not bad.
Thanks

I am an amatuer non-mechanic, but here is what my intuition is telling me: With the engine cool and the car turned off, take the spark plug cover off (if you still have one), and sop up any oil that's there. Start the car and look at the top of the engine (at the PCV hose) while the car is running. If it is leaking as badly as you claim (2 quarts per 50 miles), I would think you you would be able to at least confirm or rule out your PCV theory based on your observations.
