Hey All,

I was recently replacing my camshaft position sensor. As I was tightening the bolt, the plastic piece that you attack the sensor to cracked. Does anybody know the name of this part so I can explore replacing? Is this a vital part the shouldn’t/couldn’t be fixed with liquid cement? Thanks for the help on this.

Is it a bracket? Was it part of the replacement part?

Sorry, can't picture it but if it ain't part of a mechanical heart I'd consider a repair.

As always, think clean and think reinforcement. Consider laying something like a splint aside your work or on the involved parts to keep 'em aligned while the high temperature glue sets.

Give clamping a thought before you start. Sometimes merely setting a book against something will help you keep it steady.
