2002 V70, 70,000 miles. Manual. My clutch position switch is starting to fail again for the second time. Off warranty. Last time it was $400 to replace the $15 switch. I would like to bypass it and take my chances remembering to start it in neutral, as I have been doing successfully for the last 50 years or so. I doubt any shop will do it, for liability reasons. Has anyone done this, and how?
