DSTC Fault
Hi, i'm hoping that someone might be able to help. The DSTC warning light comes up on my Volvo V70 year 2009 and then the car goes into limp mode. Has anyone experienced this problem? The mechanic says its to do with the turbo?
Any advice would be gratefully received,
Many thanks
Penny

Get a new mechanic. A turbo has nothing to do with stability control warnings. Turbos are also a lot less likely to be bad compared to the parts that control/ regulate them. Get the car diagnosed at a volvo shop, dealership or indy. Your car needs to be scanned with a reader that can communicate with all the modules in the car and not just read CELs.
DTSC refers to the traction control system. A full scan should be done with a tool capable of reading ABS and other chassis codes to check for issues with wheel speed sensors, yaw sensors, steering wheel position sensors, ABS computer communications issues etc.
