Default Front End Problem - 1 tire wearing bad!

01 V70
Installed Volvo OEM Control arm bushings not long ago and that fixed the severe darting when I'd hit the brakes. BOTH tires were also getting chewed up on the inside real fast.
More recently, had real bad vibration under light accelaration or when under a load. Replaced the passenger side axle and that problem was fixed. It was the inner CV joint bad.
NOW, I notice the driver's side front tire is wearing real bad on the inside AND outside edges, like I'm running real low air pressure. Have noticed a vibration from time to time, but it is not constant and seems to come and go.
Just now, checked for loose ball joint by having daughter pry up and down on a long bar under the tire while I checked for play in the ball joint - ball joint is tight.
I can wiggle the tire left/right and I seem to feel some play, but cannot isolate. Outer tie rod end is tight. Is there an "inner" tie rod end? The tie rod has a plastic bellows covering where I would guess an inner tie rod end would be.

Not sure what to look at next.

Need suggestions, please!

This forum has proven to be totally useless to me. I've tried to get responses, but it appears that everyone is in the same boat, and no one has the answers, or cares to answer. Try The Volvo Resources Brickboard. There is a V70/XC 70 section there that gets you some good information. I've given up on this one.

Anytime you replace a suspension part you should have an alignment done. When the shop goes to do an alignment they will inform you of any other bad parts.

Really no need to bump a thread that is still on the first page. As for responses, you don't want wild guesses from people that have no idea what they are talking about.

Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and spend $35 to have some suspension shop tell you what problems you have. How long ago did you install the control arms? Did you load them before you torqued them down? Tires are to expensive to let the car chew through them.
