I just bought a 05 V70 with 2.5 and Geartronic trans. It has 68,000 original miles, a pampered garage kept beauty.


when I drive it between 37-39mph I can hear a med volume whine in the trans. Only at these speeds. Otherwise it works perfectly with no issues. I tried working the button behind the shifter on and off but no change regarding the whine. The manual stuff seems alright but I wonder why anyone would want it. Are there any issues on these trans.. does anyone else notice this whine? I worry I'll lose this trans and it will cost me plenty. Thanks
