Lost power, intermittently, several fault codes
Hello Everyone,
I'm having some power issues with a v70, 2002, petrol, 2.5L, 5 cyl Estate Wagon. When I drove it, it was like the engine was really weak. I almost had it towed until I realized that as long as I didn't push the gas pedal to the floor, it would shift into a higher gear and would get to about 35 - 40 mph. When I depressed the pedal all the way down, the transmission would downshift and switch gears with no speed increase.
I have a code reader and read the OBD codes, there are three of them;
1. P0507 - Idle Control System RPM higher than expected,
2. P2177 - Bank 1 too lean,
3. P0012; Intake Camshaft Position Timing, Over Retarded Bank 1.
It is idling at 850 rpms. I saw a YouTube video where a man used brake cleaner in a spray can to find a vacuum leak. I tried it but didn't notice any rpm change. Any ideas?
