Default Need advice! Should I buy a V70R? What am I getting into?

I'm considering purchasing an '04 V70R manual with 130k miles. Any major reliability issues I should know about? Are maintenance and repairs very expensive? I own a 240 right now and I'm not sure if I'm ready to step up to an R.. Any advice or relevant experiences helps, thanks!

At a buck-thirty make sure the timing belt has been done or have it done immediately! Personally, Volvos are great if you do most work yourself and a bit $$$$ if you need to have somebody else do everything. That being said, I am currently in a 04 V70R and it is by far my favorite. Already I can see the day I regret will be the day I part with it unless I am getting another V70R with fewer miles and the 6 speed. I did get mine from a dealer who replaced the tires, brakes and wheel bearings on the car at 100k. DO IT!!!!!!!

Thanks for your advice! Unfortunately the R I wanted sold but the hunt continues... I gotta have that 6 speed.
