Sunroof question
When I bought my 2001 V70, the previous owner had stuffed two big wads of fast food napkins in the rear corners of the sunroof. It DID rattle a little, so I just went through the procedure to align it (so it's at about the same level as the roof), and discovered that a couple of the bolts that hold it on were loose.
Then I noticed that there was a big metal bar that used to be glued to the rear of the sunroof just laying there (no doubt causing most of the rattles the previous owner was trying to correct with wads of napkins). I can see where it used to be glued, but for the life of me, can't imagine what it "does"... it doesn't seem to touch anything with the sunroof closed or in any position where the metal bar is visible... maybe it does something when the sunroof is fully retracted to the rear?
My sunroof is now quiet, and aligned properly. Do I need to worry about gluing that metal bar back onto the sunroof, or should I just leave it off?
